Continuing the tradition of free running competition begun in 2007, Red Bull Art of Motion returns to the island of Santorini on October 4 with 18 of the world’s top free runners in an epic course setting.
The rooftops, terraces, swimming pools and domes of Firostefani (called a "parkour paradise") will comprise the competition obstacle course, in a completely natural free running environment, with no extra construction required.
Increasingly popular in the late 1990s and 2000s, free running (Parkour) was featured in films, documentaries, and advertisement, usually with the “Kids don’t try this at home - all stunts are performed by specialized athletes” Parental Advisory.
