The Greek EU Presidency, the European Space Agency, and the European Commission are jointly organizing the "Copernicus - Sentinels Serving Society and the Environment" at the Eugenides Foundation on May 12-13.

The conference focuses on how geospatial information and services empower public administration and businesses to improve public services, to enhance their relations with the citizens and customers respectively, and to take better informed decisions on future territorial development, with socio-economic and environmental considerations in mind.

Europe’s satellite infrastructure Copernicus combines data from Earth Observation satellites and other sources to offer a hub of geospatial information expected to improve knowledge and generate new jobs in Europe’s regions and cities.
