The Informal Health Council is taking place at Zappeion Megaron today and tomorrow (April 28-29). The council addresses the repercussions of the economic crisis on public health policies as well as the impact of immigration on health issues.

The Greek EU Presidency will also demonstrate the e-health beneficial effects on patients, health care systems and society that could contribute to growth and competitiveness restraining the cost of health care and ensuring the sustainability of health systems, while simultaneously maintaining the quality and safety of services at the desired level. Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis will host the Informal Meeting of the European Ministers of Health and the Presidency will hold a press conference at the end of the meeting.
