To mark the 20th anniversary of the death of Melina Mercouri (1920-1994), the Melina Mercouri Foundation has released a special album edition titled “Melina” and is hosting a photo exhibition “Melina Mercouri Street,” in collaboration with the Benaki Museum from March 4 to May 25.
The event aspires to “highlight her radiant personality and the international caliber of her work. They trace her trajectory through cinema, theater and politics, her personal moments. They reveal the passion with which she strived for cultural issues and Greece, and her unique charisma for inspiring and drawing support for her visions.”
