Laszlo Andor, European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion speaking in Central Macedonia on March 4, stressed that green occupations relating to energy conservation and renewable energy sources, as well as the white professions related to the health sector and those linked to information and communication technologies, are expected to be in the highest demand, in the labour market in coming years.

The European Commission will take initiatives in order to help young people enter those occupations; the European Institution for Employment and Training (CEDEFOP), based in Thessaloniki, could be very helpful.
