A seminar on public communication titled "Regaining citizens' trust in times of crisis" was hosted by the Secretariat General of Information and Communication and organized jointly with the Club of Venice on March 28, on the occasion of the Greek EU Presidency. It is an informal group of Europe’s most senior and experienced government communications professionals, it convenes several times each year to provide members with an opportunity to discuss issues of mutual interest, share experiences and best practice, and offer mutual support.

The idea behind the event was to explore ways to strengthen citizens' trust in the European and national authorities, ahead of milestones such as the European elections and the ongoing debate regarding the economic recovery.
