The documentary "Cretativity," screened at the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, features six artists, from six different countries and six different fields of art, explaining on camera why they have chosen to live and work in Crete. The artists, Victoria Hislop and Ross Daly among them, recount the reasons that still keep them there, even though they have the option to go back to their countries of origin which are not facing the same economic problems as Greece.
The documentary introduces the audience, through sounds and images from today's Crete, to the contributors' local sources of inspiration, their thoughts on Greece's future and their point of view about the pros and cons of an artist living in a place seriously affected by the economic recession, yet so special to them.
