The participation of 16 Greek high-tech enterprises in this year’s Startup Village at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive Festival in Austin, Texas, on March 7-11, confirms the boost of innovation in the Greek economy over the past few years, despite the financial crisis.

It is the first time that so many newly-founded Greek companies appear simultaneously at one forum abroad. The Greek startups that will travel to Texas are Amen Technologies, eConais, GridMates, Hypertech, Intelen, Meazon, Mobiltron, Moosend, PeekInToo, Pinnatta, QReca, Rabt, Rocketgraph, Resin.io, Schoox and Terranova.

"We are really proud to form part of such a strong team of Greek startups in the SXSW Interactive Festival. Our participation is an opportunity for us to present on a global level some of the strong examples of Greek creativity and innovation," stated Yiannis Broustas, who is the head of Rabt, a personalized mobile video application that was among the winners of the Hellenic Entrepreneurship Awards of 2013.
