Following the success of the 2012 International Prize 'Nikos Kazantzakis' for literary works, The International Society of Friends of Nikos Kazantzakis (ISFNK) has decided to introduce International Prize Nikos Kazantzakis for artistic works.

The prize will be awarded in 2016 and the contest is open to all 'original artistic creations', including paintings, prints, photographs, music, theatre, dance, film, documentaries and television series. In its recent World Assembly held in Melbourne, the ISFNK has also decided to collect and publish the great Cretan writer's correspondance.
