For the third year, NGO Kids in Action and the free press magazine Exostis are organizing the Balkan Fest, in Thessaloniki, on February 28. The event will be held at the multiplex culture Block 33.
The Balkan peninsula of 8 different countries, peoples and languages seems so divided, yet with so many things in common; historical and cultural roots, customs and lifestyle. It is a crossroads, with distinctive cultural identity and a strong character. The festival aims at enhancing exchange and bonding between Balkan neighbours.
This year’s Balkan Fest hosts a photographic exhibition and film screenings by local directors and photographers; visitors will hear traditional sounds, enjoy folk dance and of course, will taste Balkan cuisine.
