The
3rd African Film Week will take place at the Greek Film Archive in Kerameikos from February 20 to 26. Following the two previous
successful editions, this year’s programme will feature eighteen feature films and one short film but also documentaries, from eight African countries, introducing the public to unique cultural experiences of each country. The opening film is
Wled Ammar (Génération Maudite, 2013) by Nasredine Ben Maati from Tunisia. Admission to all events is free.
During the festival, the Greek Film Archive will welcome renowned filmmakers such as Nigerian director
Kunle Afolayan (20-24/2), South African director
Zola Maseko (18-27/2) and South African director and producer
Rapitse Montsho (20-27/2), who will introduce their films, as well as Pedro Alfredo Ramalhoso (19-27/2), Managing Director of the Angolan Institute of Cinema, Audiovisual and Multimedia.
