Eight boys from the Faroe Islands, students in the second and third year of high school and "experts " in educational robotics, shared their knowledge and unique experiences on January 24, with about 250 students of primary schools in the city of Thessaloniki.
The boys from the Faroe islands belong to the award-winning group "Lego Vinir" - one of the world's leading educational robotics groups of young people aged 10-16 years - held a conference on "Information from Students to Students on Science and Technology and Interactive Educational Robotics Workshop," at the "Catacomb" arts centre of the Evangelismos Church in Evosmos, Thessaloniki.
The event was organized by the Western Thessaloniki Regional Educational Directorate in cooperation with the Stavropolis-Naples Archdiocese, as part of a robotics competition that will be held for the first time in Greece and specifically in Thessaloniki on March 8 - 9 at the Science Center and Science and Technology Museum NOESIS. Thirty-four groups of ten people will take part in the Greek competition, organized by the non-profit organization "Action on Education – eduACT".
