Bookukoo is a new location-based book swap application for Android phones, iPhones, and tablets that allows people to hand the hard-copy books they don’t need and get ones they are looking for, gratis! It was developed by Panos Kouretas, a graduate of the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics at the University of Patras and aspires at creating a virtual library for Greeks around the world. 

All you have to do is upload a list of books you want to share, find the titles you wish to get, and request them from other members and Bookukoo then puts you in contact with the book-owner through email. The app gives you the chance to search available books in your neighborhood and offers unlimited number of book-swaps! It is noted that actual book exchange involves hard-copy books, not e-books.
