Miss Violence has won best script award in the 24th Stockholm International Film Festival for Alexandros Avranas & Kostas Peroulis "sparse precise and engaging scenario" that depicts "a relentless story about a family’s disintegration with complete lack of sentimentality."

This is not the first international distinction for Miss Violence; the dark and strange, new Greek cinema narrative also competed at the 70th Venice International Film Festival, where director Alexandros Avranas was awarded the Silver Lion for Best Director and actor Themis Panou was awarded the Volpi Cup for Best Actor.
