The 29th Philoxenia International Tourism Exhibition has opened its doors on November 21 at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre, running until November 24.

Following its facelift last year, Philoxenia has been re-established as one of the most significant tourism exhibitions in Greece - with "international radiance" - and the wider region of Southeastern Mediterranean. With 300% increase in hotel participants, 18% increase in visibility, 100 hosted trade visitors from all over the world, 1800 pre-arranged B2B meetings and 20 parallel events, Philoxenia is the place to visit and participate if your business revolves around the wider tourism sector.
  • The Revolution in Green Mobility
It charges its batteries with sunlight and can run for 240 kilometers at a stretch, having the capacity to carry three people; it offers a unique ecological stroll at minimal cost.

The three-seater solar motor bike Sunnyclist was constructed by mechanical engineer Manolis Tsikandilakis in Herakliion, Crete and is presented to the public, at the Philoxenia Tourist Exhibition. "The motor bike's construction was completed about two months ago and we already have the first 10 orders from hotels and car rental firms in tourist regions," said Tsikandilakis, specifying that Sunnyclist is ideal for the Greek islands, where distances are short and road speeds are low.
