- Lermontov’s Masquerade @ Badminton Theatre
Two performances of Mikhail Lermontov’s Masquerade, by the acclaimed Moscow Vakhtangov Theatre will be staged at the Badminton Theatre, on February 22-23.
Under the direction of Rimas Tuminas, Masquerade is a theatre of characters, intrigues, flirting, intense and dangerous confessions. Fools and scoffers, dissemblers and clowns, romantic heroes and hoaxers run together hiding feelings of shame underneath their masks.

Verdi’s biblical drama Nabucco will be staged at the Athens Concert Hall on February 22, with Dimitris Platanias in the title role, opposite Dimitra Theodosiou as Abigaille.
The Municipality of Athens Choir and the ERT Choir will deliver the famous Va, pensiero. The opera is conducted by George Petrou.
- Orchestre National de France @Megaron
The Orchestre Nationale de France will perform at the Athens Concert Hall on February 25 and 26, with Vassily Sinaisky at the podium. On the 25th the programme includes Dvořák, Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and Sibelius, with violin soloist Julian Rachlin, while on the 26th the performance is made up of compositions by Berlioz, Mozart and Dvořák, with pianist Dimitris Sgouros as soloist. - African Cinema in Athens
The Greek Film Archive, the embassies and honorary consulates of African countries in Athens are organizing the 2nd African Film Week, following the huge success of last year's first edition.
The event is taking place on February 21 to 27, opening with the screening of Moroccan film The 5th String (2011) by Selma Vargas.
