A government delegation led by Government spokesman Simos Kedikoglou, and including Development Ministry GS Serafim Tsokas and Invest in Greece agency representative Elias Eliadis arrived in Moscow yesterday for investment talks.The visit is part of a wider governmental initiative to showcase business opportunities in Greece, as well as to prepare PM Antonis Samaras' planned visit to Moscow.
The delegation discussed the prospects of cooperation with Russian investors in traditional fields such as agriculture and tourism, as well as in new areas including alternative energy sources and the pharmaceutical industry.
After meeting with the board of the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RF CCI), Kedikoglou said that the Russians are responding very positively to the opportunities arising, showing their confidence in the Greek economy.
