Palazzo Sormani, Milan’s historic Public Library, pays tribute to poet George Seferis with an exhibition of photographs taken by him.
The exhibition, Through the Eyes of George Seferis, features 60 of the Nobel-Laureate’s photographs, taken between 1920 while he was studying in Paris, to 1971, when he died.
The photographs are a small but representative sample of the Greek poet’s long and fruitful engagement with the art of photography and are part of the extensive Seferis photo archive, which was donated to the National Bank of Greece Cultural Foundation by the poet’s family.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on January 17 and will be on display until February 16.
