The two ministers toured the pavilion of Lagadas, the small town outside Thessaloniki, participating for the second consecutive year at the fair.
Following the meeting, Tsaftaris stressed that Greece places particular emphasis on exporting quality agricultural products, adding that linking agriculture with tourism is a top Ministry priority.
The trade show was also attended by Macedonia & Thrace Minister Theodoros Karaoglou, who noted that Germany was the second largest importer of Greek farm products globally in 2011, with a slice of 12.9%. Tsaftaris also attended the 5th summit of agriculture ministers participating in the exhibition.
