Ecosmosis

An architectural exhibition aiming at raising awareness on ecological design in building and landscape architecture is hosted at the Hellenic Cosmos centre. 

Ecosmosis, designed by renowned digital artist Maurice Benayoun and created by major Greek architectural firms, features a three-dimensional visual interactive environment. It is the final event for the Against All Odds project and will be on display until June 29.
  • Saturday in Athens
An exhibition on Athens that combines art and urban initiatives is hosted at the Genesis Gallery until June 26.

The exhibition, titled One Saturday in Athens, features paintings by Athens artists, while every Saturday visitors are invited to participate in urban beautification actions in the centre of Athens, including tree planting and clean ups.

Strindberg Centennial Celebrations
    Commemorating  the centennial anniversary since the death of August Strindberg, the Swedish Embassy in Athens along with the Greek Theatre Company Syn-epi and the Swedish MOMENT are co-organising a two-day conference on the life and works of the influential playwright on June 2 and 3.

    The event will include theatrical workshops, photography exhibitions and the theatre play based on Strindberg’s wife, called "Frida Strindberg-The Spider from Mars."
    • Low Budget Festival Speaks French
    Athens’ most important young artists’ theatre institution collaborates with the French Institute of Athens to present Low Budget Festival Speaks French: three contemporary French plays translated in Greek in an effort to show that theatre shares a common language.

    The festival will run until June 2, at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation.

    Support  Your Local Heroes 

    Thessaloniki’s Support Your Local heroes pop music festival holds its closing night on May 31.

    Every Thursday, Thessaloniki’s new City Hall becomes a stage for the city’s young and active pop and rock scene.

    The final night features new-romantic pop group Your Hand in Mine and the highly political and experimental music of 2L8.
