An art exhibition exploring the relation between art and mathematics is hosted at the Herakleidon Museum, featuring works by M.C. Escher and Victor Vasarely from the museum’s permanent collection. Under the title From the Aesthetics of Art to the Logic of Mathematics, the exhibition aims to bring to the fore a dialogue between art and science. It runs until May 31, 2013 while works on display will be periodically renewed.
On the occasion of the centenary anniversary from the liberation of Chios Island, the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation presents an art exhibition titled Chios 1912-2012: One Hundred years of Liberty?
The exhibition, featuring works of art by renowned and upcoming Chios artists, aspires to make a comment on the notion of liberty and the multidimensional facets of freedom. The exhibition will be on display until April 29.

Mercan Dede brings his unique fusion music to Onassis Cultural Centre on April 27. The multifarious, multi-awarded artist came to international fame as dance DJ Arkin Allen.

Silent film masterpieces and musical scores specially composed for this screening will be presented at the Athens Music Hall on April 28.
Works by silent cinema masters Walter Ruttman, Viking Eggeling, Man Ray and Len Lye, as well as Samuel Becket’s only film, will be accompanied by the Athens Camerata, in a premiere of five musical scores by contemporary Greek composers.
