The 13th Francophone Film Festival opens its doors to Athenians from March 21 to 28. The Opening Night features The Untouchables, a world-wide hit which balances drama with heart-felt comedy.
The film is based on the true story of a millionaire who becomes quadriplegic and unexpectedly rediscovers the "joie de vivre" with the help of an ex- convict. The festival will also include a masterclass titled Transmedia, coordinated by talk- of-the-town director, Athena Rachel Tsangari. Transmedia is a technique of storytelling across multiple platforms and formats using contemporary digital technologies. The Cine-Concert session will host the screening of the silent film Carmen with live music played by the National Jazz Orchestra of Paris.The Thessaloniki session of the festival will take place from March 29 to April 4.
