In the last day of his visit to New York, Prime Minister George Papandreou attended the opening of the United Nations General Assembly and held a series of meetings with regional leaders on the sidelines of the summit.
He also addressed a World Leadership Forum 2010 event hosted by the Foreign Policy Association in which presented a comprehensive view of the economic situation in Greece and the country's future prospects. In the evening, he attended a reception at the Museum of Natural History hosted by the US president in honour of the heads of states and governments participating at the UN General Assembly. While in New York, the Prime Minister gave a series of interviews to international media.
