The International Diving Festival of Kalymnos will be held on the Aegean island by the same name from September 10- 12.
Kalymnos will thus become once again the centre of the diving world, hosting an event that will revive the tradition of the Sponge Diving.
The scenic and tranquil Kalymnos Island is also one of the most important climbing destinations worldwide, offering rock climbing and bouldering all year long (see photo gallery). September in particular, offers pleasant climbing temperatures in combination with warm sea waters.
Diving lovers will have the opportunity to enjoy various activities such as free, autonomous, and organised diving. They can also admire the exhibits on the island's diving culture and sea life featured in the Naval Museum and can delve into the island’s history at the Archaeological Museum.
