The 24th Renaissance Festival of Rethymno, on the island of Crete is already underway running through July 27, featuring vocal ensembles from Europe and the world, as well as theatrical groups, representative of Renaissance era.

This year, the Renaissance Festival coincides with the Rethymno International Chess Tournament, adding a sporting flair into a cultural event.
