• EXHIBITION

The National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMST) in Athens is presenting until September 5, an exhibition by internationally acclaimed Chinese artist Yang Fudong. The exhibition includes the complete five-part epic cinematic cycle Seven Intellectuals in a Bamboo Forest, the recent six-channel video installation East of Que Village, the monumental 10-channel video installation Close to the Sea, as well as the earlier film Liu Lan.

Pina Bausch Encore
Pina Bausch’s dance theatre, Tanztheater Wuppertal, will be at the Athens Concert Hall on July 13 to 15, presenting the choreography “Nefes,” as part of the Greek Festival.

Flamenco Magic
The explosive Maria Serrano presents her new performance "Intuicion," sharing the stage with her sister, dancer Alba Serrano, as well as a group of four musicians from her major orchestra, Compania Maria Serrano. Catch the show at the Badminton Theatre's outdoor venue from July 12 to 17.

The Cranberries in Athens
The Cranberries, the Irish rock band formed in Limerick in 1980 will be in Athens on July 14, on the second stop of their European tour, for a concert at Vrahon Theatre.

Tribute to Mikis Theodorakis
The Athens Municipal Choir and the Choir of the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT) will be presenting works by renowned Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis, at the. Herodes Atticus Odeon on July 8, as part of the Athens Festival.

Eject Festival 2010
The Eject Festival - which is celebrating its sixth year and has become an established musical event - is taking place on July 13 at the Olympic Fencing Centre, Helliniko featuring the ultimate rock/electronica band Unkle and the godfathers of punk rock, Bad Religion.
