Greece’s Beach Volleyball team of Vicky Arvaniti and Maria Tsiartsiani won the silver medal in the European Beach Volleyball Championship 2012 held at The Hague from May 30 to June 3.

The Greek female duo lost the gold medal to the Dutch team of Sanne Keizer and Marleen van Iersel by 2-0 sets.

This victory brings the Greek team to the 15th place of the Olympic qualifications, although the road to London 2012 Olympic Games has yet to pass from the Grand Slams of Moscow and Rome.
