Greek design teams had a field day at the European Design Awards, handed out in Helsinki on May 26, giving Greece an overall second place.523 design studios from 34 countries entered the prestigious annual competition, held under the auspices of the International Council of Graphic Design Associations, to win in one of the 40 categories.
Greek entries were awarded in 20 of the 40 categories, with 5 entries getting gold awards in their categories, putting Greece second only to the Netherland’s 6 gold awards.
The golden winners for Greek design are: In the logo category, Dolphins Communication Design ranked first for their brand logo of the project A Balkan Tale, while Design Studio topped the company logo category for their Athens State Orchestra logo.
In the packaging categories, Bob Studio won first place for food for their design for Eleia olive oil, and Mouse Graphics won the miscellaneous packaging gold award for their Brüken packaging design. Finally, Nomint won the Motion Graphics award for the animation of Tonight. [VIDEO]
